Architecture of the historical settlements across the northern coasts of Persian Gulf (Siraf, Kong, Laft, Kish and Mokran) is part of the Tentative list of Iran in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
These 4 or 5 historical settlements across the northern coasts of the Persian Gulf show a specific type of Urban Planning and Architecture. Being ports, the interplay of multiple cultures (Indian, African, Islamic) is visible. The history of the towns goes back to the Parthians and Sassanid periods.
